WPA-APD Guidelines for Ranking Events

 

NEW GUIDELINES FOR WPA WORLD RANKED ARTISTIC POOL EVENTS!

Attention: Artistic Pool Players, Fans, Media, Sponsors, and Friends,

The WPA Artistic Pool Division is making a concerted effort to increase Artistic Pool event interest internationally, keeping in mind player costs, promoter / venue budgets, and the economic state of many markets around the world.

​

In this regard “new” guidelines for future WPA “World Ranked” Artistic Pool events have been majority approved by the WPA APD board as of 10/20/14.

By approving and implementing these guidelines EACH FEDERATION domain will have an EASIER time to hold “ranking events” in their “back door”, so to speak, without travel / logistical costs applicable to their players.

​

Note: Almost anyone could have an event under the “C” event points by simply getting a room / venue (with minimal “added” funding) to provide tables, and then running the event under APD approved “format structure” and overall guidelines in place for such an event. In this noted scenario players will be better able to “earn ranking points” at a lower cost.

​

The event guideline points should help promote Artistic Pool worldwide with a primary concern for growing our sport and for making Artistic Pool accessible to players that might otherwise never travel outside their home domains.
